We were a small crew enjoying the always reliable Foreside Tavern.  Not all of us had completed the book... but a lively history discussion ensued.  Many recommendations for the subsequent novel, Bringing Up the Bodies if so inclined.

we gathered at the oddly named "Plush"... i don't think we expected so much corrugated steel.  the drinks were lovely and food tasty... i will be looking for polenta fries again.

we all enjoyed the sweet tale of a faithful friend!  we will hiatus for the summer and reconnect renewed in the fall.

Spring is here!!!  More gardening advice and excellent tips for home organization / clean out... tis the season.

The book was well enjoyed and even caused some desire for "footnotes" for those of us lacking history specifics.  Seemed like it would have been nice to have an ending including the author / store owner and his story.... what happened next for him?

We were limited in number, but not in enjoyment.  Seems to have been an overall winner with readers.

Amusing that both electronic readers had some odd experiences...this might have been one best enjoyed on paper!

May's meeting  is moved... 2nd WED is already committed to some travel, so we are going for the 16th instead.  Hope you can make it.

Great to get together again.. the book prompted diverse reactions... some have it on their top ten list, some didn't (or barely) finished!  The fun of suggestion- you get to try out something you might never have.

We all made it to the same spot and ordered food we don't get to eat at home- perfect evening!

Thanks for coming out on a cold night.  I had a really good time ... it was energizing to consider the multiple points of view we all had based on our own life and parent experiences!  My favorite part of a book group is the new ways I get to look at the same piece of work.
